Apparently there's a hacker going around, hacking peoples accounts, and blocking YOUR friends so that they block YOU. You then get in trouble then banned from DA. Crazy isn't it?! So if you read this warning, care about those around you, you will spread this word, tell everyone so you aren't this guy's next victim. ALSO, If I block or say something to you that isn't appropriate for NO REASON, it's not me!!! Now please spread the word so no one you know is the hackers next victim!

- pass it on.

Sorry I haven't been active in so long, only commenting and faving deviations around here. The semester is finally over for me, which means I'll be doing more of my crazy parodies (and hopefully, some OCs), and I'll be uploading my Illustration works after having put up all my Principles of Design work.

In other words... no, I'm not dead.

So, that's all the news I have for today's edition of ~JustSoWall-eCrazy's Deviant Journal. Be sure to catch this summer's line-up for Directive, J.E.D.I., and AirHeads!, only in my gallery.

Haven't found a good time to write a journal entry. Been busy with school and such.

Not much to say, other than I saw The Lorax. It was a brilliant movie; I loved it very much.

:pray:Bible Verse of the Month:

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

So, I'm still on vacation, trying to color in as much of my drawings I've made. And as usual, I'm gonna give another update on the changes taking place in my gallery.

For starters, I may be moving some pieces into the shelved folder. Probably I should even rename it the "Shelved, Other Projects, and Until Further Notice" folder

UPDATE #1: Just today, I got the idea to remake my old sketch comedy series As Seen on TV!, totally new and revamped. I'll probably do a group picture to re-introduce the cast, because I find making a group picture better than making individual reference sheets for each character. Here's the renewed folder: [link]
--

UPDATE #2: And, Ive decided to show my design for the AirHeads! characters, "Les Poissons", side by side.

And now, for the Bible Verse and Song of the Month:

I finished my fall semester at college. Now that I'm done, I've got tons of stuff I'm going to do on here. After all, I've got until the beginning of February to do some art here.

Here's what going to go on in my gallery:

Star Vacation/Directive:

So I have finally finished my parody I posted up on PP and on here as well. I am considering doing a few pictures of some scenes, and also from my spin-off. One of the ideas I might be getting down on paper will be Wallace and Bissell's musical club, complete with  new Postulate characters, a robot teacher, and a big opening show.

J.E.D.I.:

Not much planned for this, other than some humor and a special Holiday-themed outfit for one of the Debate club characters.

AirHeads!:

There will be tons of AirHeads! stuff headed your way. However, I will try to upload different series each time just so I don't become tiresome.

Other:
I might have finally invented an original plot for my story involving my OC Tally and her friends. New characters will be introduced, and one already existing one may get a name change and some appearance updates.

So that's what's going on. Hope you're all having a great holiday season!

And before I forget...

:pray:Bible Verse of the Month:

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us".

First of all, I would like to apologize for not having written a journal in so long. I've been busy with college work so much, and I don't really have anything interesting to say, other than I'm on vacation, and I've had a great Thanksgiving. Looking forward to Christmas.

But on the subject of college, I've only got a few more weeks to go before my winter break.
--

So, how did you enjoy your Thanksgiving? I'd like to see some comments.

And in other news, I hope you guys are enjoying my latest creation, AirHeads! The Musical. Expect more of these elemental ballroom dancers headed your way! =D

Also, here's a Bible Verse and Song of the Month:

:pray:Bible Verse of the Month
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Tomorrow is my first day of the new school year. Gonna be loaded, but I've got an attack plan that hopefully works out. I do hope to be able to do some artworks on Saturdays and holidays until Winter Break, when I'll have more free time.

I really do hope to do the best this semester. Please be praying for me.

I've been thinking about it this week, and I've decided to feature some wonderful artists I've seen around these parts. Unfortunately, since I do not have a premium membership, I don't think I can insert thumbnails of their work into my journal, so you might just have to visit their galleries.
--

With all that said, here's the artists I'm featuring in my journal.

1. :iconelixirmy:~Elixirmy - I originally came across this artist under her former account name, ~elixirXsczjX13, but she's moved to this account (if anyone formerly watched her there, you can re-watch her at her new name). This artist has a unique style to her works, and I greatly admire her skill in giving fluidity and motion to all her characters, and this strength is especially seen in her fanart of Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Fish Hooks, which are cartoons that have a "flat" look to them, but are given more dimension when drawn in her style. Also, her OCs don't go without mention. Her cast of Samy, Elixir, Perkins, Luke, Vela, Rita, and Oliver are one of the best OC collections around dA, and and honorable mention also goes to a little series revolving around a humanized Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop. Again, you've got to check her out. Some of you may already be familiar with her work.

2. :iconhanami-mai:*Hanami-Mai - This artist is a definite must-watch. She's got quite a love for historical fashion, and is also pretty big on the history of kimonos. She's got this series of artworks she's working on that features kimonos from different periods of Japan's history, spanning the Heian, Sengoku, Edo, and Meiji eras. Her chibi style is one to die for (not literally :ohnoes:). If there's any historical fashion lovers and kimono fanatics out there, this is one artist you've definitely got to watch.

3. :iconneko-vi:*Neko-Vi - This guy's got quite a thing for designing Lolita collections and ballgowns. All of his ensembles are so well done, you wish you could buy them at a boutique or something. I've been lurking around his gallery, and there some pretty awesome designs in there (such as a trio of Wa Lolita dresses and a British Punk outfit). I suggest you go look at some of his collections, and his designs are free to use for dressing up your characters.

...and I'm not sure if I'm up to it yet.

Truth is, that I'm considering opening up art trades. I mean, it would be fun to do, but I'm afraid I may not meet everyone's requests, and I can't do anything too complicated.

However, I do have a plan should I open up art trading. In fact, I'm going to lay out the rules right now for future reference.

Art Trade Rules

1. No blood/gore/abuse/extreme violence. I can do action scenes and fight scenes, but no blood and guts.

2. If you want my characters to speak, I will not write any foul language.

3. No sexual content of any kind, and I have the right to turn down certain pairings.

4. Basically, it's gotta be G-rated and nothing that will cause me to put a filter on it.

5. If anyone fails to comply with these rules, their requests will be rejected.

6. If I haven't seen your character(s) before, be sure to send me a reference sheet. If you don't have a reference sheet, just send me a pic of your OC, fan-OC, whatever, so I have something to refer to. I won't get mad if you don't, but it's helpful when an artist needs to know what a character looks like if they've never seen them before.

Again, I'm not officially opening up art trades as of right now, but I'm just laying down the rules for if and when I do.

With all that said, have a nice day! :iconflowerdanceplz:

:star:What's Up?

Well, I officially ended my first year of college a few weeks ago. Which means I have more time to work on digitally coloring in sketches, and also maybe do some of the memes I've found around here (if I can push myself to do them...). So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for my newest stuff, both now playing and coming soon. =D

:star:Anything Else?

I have been thinking of posting some of my assignments from my Art/Drawing class I took this year. I want to do that so you can see what I've been learning, such as perspective, lighting, shading, and tonal drawing; all done in good ol' graphite! I am especially dying to show you guys this one piece I did called a "representational self-portrait", where we had to draw a sort of self-portrait that represents us, with only one rule: you could not use your physical likeness. However, because the paper it is done on is too big to fit in my scanner, I'll be photographing it instead with a camera.

:star:Is that all you have to tell us?

Pretty much. I was going to give you guys a list of what you could look forward to in my gallery, but I'd rather keep some of my upcoming works a secret so I don't spoil the awesomeness.

And now it's time once again for the Bible Verse and Song of the Month!

Sorry I haven't written a journal in a long while! With my college schedule and such, I've barely had time to come up with a decent entry. And since I missed out on last month's Bible Verse and Song of the Month, I will post up two verses and two songs for you guys!

What's Been Up?

I just had Spring Break recently, and now I'm working on assignments for school. Can't wait until Summer Vacation; I've only got a month left! So I'll probably hold off on digital art again until June. And no, Star Vacation is not dead, neither on Pixar Planet, nor here. Which brings me to my next subject...

Changes in my Gallery

I am sorry to announce this... but it looks like I will be canceling my story As Seen on TV!. :tears: The reasons why I'm canceling it are because I haven't come up with too many good skit episodes to draw out, and I haven't even come up with the rest of the character designs. Due to this, As Seen on TV! will be going in the Vault (No, not the Disney Vault; my Imagination Vault where all old ideas are stored =).)

However, I am coming up with an idea for a new Harajuku fashion-inspired series staring my characters Charity, Rose, and Tallulah; so their character designs will be saved. With the other existing characters, I might be re-purposing them as background extras for other stories. =D Who knows, maybe one day I might resurrect As Seen on TV!...

So with all that said, here's the Bible Verses and Songs for the Month!

Sorry I haven't been able to update this in such a long time. My history assignments are extensive, and I've become preoccupied with English and Art (beginners drawing) for a while.

So really, there's not much to say... however, I haven't forgotten about this month Bible verse and song! =D For this month's verse, I chose one that I heard today during a service reading.

 Bible Verse of the Month
"And many who have believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and burned  them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the Word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed" --Acts 19:18-20

I love this verse because it shows how those people who practiced sin and who came to Christ took their conversion seriously, even to the point of purging those witchcraft books.

Well, this week my Spring Semester will begin at my college, so that means I'll have to be organizing my time again. That means I will really have to focus my time on studying and reading, especially for my History and English classes. And let me tell you guys, I'm not the best at writing non-fiction or expressing opinions on real-world subject most of the time.

However, I'll also be taking two art classes. I need mainly drawing classes if I want to major in graphic design.=)

I probably will have to drop my artwork and fanfiction writing for a while; maybe only visiting it sporadically.

That doesn't mean I'll be totally inactive here. I'll still get to comment and reply to you guys, and even fave a few deviations I like. I just won't be uploading as much.

Here's a few tips I've been coming up with for a while now in order to write a good journal. If you find you're guilty of any of these, please don't take offense.

1. Don't upload consecutive entries. When you upload consecutive entries, chances are your watchers may not have time to read them throughout the day or week, depending on how much they have to go through their inbox. Instead, try uploading a new one each week, every two weeks, or every month, the least. Unless you're updating about commissions, requests, art trades, etc., then it's ok.

2. Don't write a one-sentence entry. I'm actually sort of guilty of this one in the past. However, I've been trying to come up with ways to make my journals more interesting by describing fun and/or meaningful events and other thing in greater detail than by just writing one or two sentences that summarize the whole subject in the entry. Be creative!

3. You need not do every quiz that comes your way. Don't take offense if you're guilty of this one. This is just a tip that makes you think a little. You've got watchers, and you may never know, but some of them might think it's annoying when someone is doing every quiz that comes their way, and then it shows up in their inbox practically 79% of the time. I'm not saying that you should not do quizzes at all; in fact, I'll do one once in a while, as long as there are no inappropriate questions such as personal questions or anything using language or adult material. I actually read an article today that shows a much more dangerous side of constantly doing quizzes right here: [link] (WARNING: the writer used a small amount of colorful vocabulary, so just ignore it and pretend there's different words) Again, quizzes aren't bad to do once in a while, but they can become a nuisance to certain watchers when done constantly (some won't mind at all, but still).

4. Try and share things that will make people think. Got something on your mind that you'd like to share with people that you think will benefit them? Go right ahead. Don't be afraid if they disagree; there will usually be some who don't.  Be sure to be detailed and informative. One example of this is like if I wrote a journal entry about the choices we make in listening to music, and explain to you why I don't listen to certain artists. You can also share religious beliefs and values if you like, as long as you're not shoving them down their throats or forcing it upon them. A very good example of this is sharing my Christian beliefs, because I believe I am called by God to share the Gospel with the whole world, but I cannot force it on people to believe, for it is up to them to make that decision. I can even discuss it personally with someone, but ultimately it is their choice.

With all that said, happy journal writing!

Remember I said on my last journal, I'll be doing both a Song of the Month and Verse of the Month? Well, here they are!

First off, the Bible Verse of the Month (because God always comes first):

"If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7.

And now, for the Song of the Month:

When She Cries by Britt Nicole: [link]
--

And now, about my life.

Not much is going on, really, other than my grandmother finally moved to the apartment she's been waiting for, because the other one didn't make her that comfortable. Also, my 19th birthday is coming up this Wednesday, and I've already made a wish list of the things I want. I probably won't get everything, but I'm always thankful for what I get, no matter how small or big.

So, that's all I have to say. I've decided I'll probably switch to my mom's laptop to add a YouTube link for the song ('cause, hey, I'm not that lazy! I could get off my chair to do something that simple)

EDIT: added the link
  • Mood: Neutral
  • Watching: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
I was thinking about this today, and I was thinking of making some changes to my journals. Mainly it's because I wanna share stuff that I think is interesting, or something to think on, but sometimes I feel rushed.

:bulletblue: For starters, I'm going to change my "Bible Verse of the Week", to "Bible Verse of the Month", because I realize that there were times that I have procrastinated on that, so I've decided to change this feature to be every month so I'll give myself more time to find a verse to share. It's just really to share my beliefs.

:bulletblue: Second, I've been thinking of doing a "Song(s) of the Month" feature, to share songs that I like that have catchy beats, meaningful lyrics, and so on. The only thing I won't be able to do is post YouTube links to songs because of a parental filter the computer I'm typing on has, and although I could get my mom to unlock it for an hour each time, I'd rather not bug her too much about it. (though if I really, really need to, I could also post links on another computer, but that's ok.) If you want, you can look up the songs yourself on YouTube, iTunes, Napster, or whatever, really.

Plus, I'm a very musically inclined person.

So, that's it for today's journal. I'd like to hear from you guys on this.

New Year. Fresh start.

So, what awaits for me in 2011? Well, let me tell you...

New Semester

I am on break right now, but in February, I will be starting my spring semester in college, and this time, I will be taking some art classes. This will be good for me, because I have so much trouble adding movement to my characters, and then they end up looking funny (like right now, I'm having trouble posing a character because of the direction and tilt of his head). Hopefully, I'll be able to pose characters realistically and not have them look to flat and weird (especially when I draw the "hands on hips" pose).

New OCs

I was gonna do it today, but I went to my aunt's house today, and ended up listening to music on my laptop and playing around with Paint Shop Pro to make myself a new sig for PP. Hopefully tomorrow or sometime this week, I plan to unveil some brand new characters, hot fresh from the imagination oven. I've spent time perfecting them, and I'm completely excited to show 'em here on dA soon.

An in a related note, I will be revising some designs for some already existing characters.

Final Words

Hope all of my dA buddies had a great New Year's Day, and here's to a fresh start to 2011!
